God wrote the law on tablets of stone (Exodus 24:12)
And the Lord God said unto Moses, "Come up into the
mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that
thou mayest teach them."
The Law of the Spirit is written on flesh of the heart (2 Corinthians 3:2,3)
"Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known
and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be an epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with
ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart."
The law of the Spirit is life (Romans 8:2)
For the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
the law of sin and death.
God will take out their hearts of stone, and give them a heart of flesh.(Ezekial 11:9)
"And I will give them one heart, and I will put
a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them
a heart of flesh;"
Jesus is the bread if life (John 6:35)
And Jesus said unto them "I am the bread of life:
he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
(Matthew 7:9) "Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread (God's
law of the Spirit, Rom 8:2) will give him a stone?" (God's law in stone, Ex 24:12)
Moses smote the rock on which God stood, (Ex 17:6) water came forth
And the Lord God said unto Moses..."Behold, I
will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out
of it, that the people may drink" and Moses did so in the sight of Israel.
Jesus said whosoever drinketh of his water, shall never thirst again (John 4:13)
Jesus answered and said unto her, "Whosoever drinketh
of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but
the water that I shall give him shall be a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
Jesus is the Rock (1 Corinthians 10:4 = Exodus 17:6)
"And they all did drink the same spiritual drink:
for they all drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."
Moses was told to speak to the rock, yet he smote it twice (Numbers 20:8,11)
"Take thy rod...and speak ye unto the rock
before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water...And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the
rock twice: and water came out abundantly...
When Moses smote the rock twice, he angered God, keeping him from the promised land (Numbers 20:8,11)
And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aron, "Because
ye belived me not,...Ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them."
We only need to speak to this Rock (John 14:13-14)
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that
will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye ask any thing in my name,
I will do it."
Crucify Christ in the flesh and you can recieve forgiveness, crucify him in the Spirit, and you will
not be forgiven for...(Matthew 12:31,32)
Jesus said that one can speak against the Son of
man and repent and be forgiven, (you can speak against the manifestation in the flesh) but...
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall
be forgiven unto men: but blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever
speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against
the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world or the world to come."
This is the second smite of Moses. There is a sin that leads to death, and Moses was kept from the
promised land (1 John 5:16)
"If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not
unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do
not say that he shall pray for it."
Jacob slept on the stones and saw the door to heaven (Genesis 28:11,17)
...and he took the stones of that place, and put
them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
Jesus is the door (John 19:7,9)
"...I am the door of the
sheep." "I am the door: by me if any man enter in he shall be saved...."
Jacob erected the stone and said,..."this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate
of heaven."
Jesus said "Thou are Peter (Petros; a piece of rock)
and upon this rock (petra a mass of rock), I will build my church."
Jesus is petra (a mass of rock) Daniel 2:34,35 "a stone was cut out
without hands
...and the stone that smote the image became
a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."
Jesus is the Rock (1 Corinthians 10:4)
....and that rock was Christ.
God placed before Joshua a stone with seven eyes, (Zech 7:9) these are the
seven spirits of God. (Rev 5:6)
"For behold the stone that I have
laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes:...." " And I beheld, and lo, in
the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain,
having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all
the earth."
Jacob blessed Joseph saying that his hands were made strong by the mighty God
of Jacob; "From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel"(Gen 49:24)
Isaiah 28:16 "Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold,
I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation he that
believeth shall not make haste."
Jesus is the chief corner stone (1 Peter 2:6-8)
"Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion
a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but
unto them which are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
And a stone of stumbling, (And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken..) and
a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Luke 20:18 "And
whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind
him to powder."
(If someone falls down on Jesus, and turns totally back to the world, they will be
broken spiritually, seeing that Christ is crucified afresh (Hebrews 6:4-6),
but if Jesus falls on you, you are powder......
"And this is the plauge wherewith the Lord shall smite all the people that have fought
against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall
consume away in their holes, and their tongues shall consume away in their mouth."(Zech 14:12) sounds
pretty powdery to me.
God instituted stoning as punishment for sin (Leviticus 20:2,27)
"...and the people of the land shall stone him with stones..."
Jesus is the Rock that takes away the sin of the world (Psalm 18:46)
"The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation
be exalted."
Acts 4:10-12 "...Jesus Christ of Nazareth...This is
the stone...Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Jesus wrote in the dirt and said, (John 8:7)" He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone
at her."
The only one with out sin is God (1 John 3:5)
"And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is
no sin."
Jesus himself asked: "Why callest thou me good?
There is none good but one, that is God:" Matt 19:17
God is the only one who has the right to throw a stone (1 John 3:5)
The stone that God cast was Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10-12)
Daniel 2:34,35 "Thou sawest till that a stone was cut without hands, which smote
the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to peices."
We no longer need to throw stones Matt 7:1-5
"Judge not, that ye be not judged...why beholdest thou
the mote that is in thy brothers eye...behold, a beam is in thy own eye."
He is the Rock, his work is perfect Deut 32:4
Duet 32:15 "But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked:...then
he forsook God which had made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his
salvation."
The Rock of salvation is Jesus 1 Cor 10:4, Acts 4:
"they all drank of that spiritual Rock that followed
them: and that Rock was Christ" "neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name given among men whereby we must be saved."
The Rock begat them and God formed them Duet 32:18
"Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and
thou hast forgotten God that formed thee."
We are begotten of the Rock
The Rock is Jesus
John the Baptist said "God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." Matt 3:9
We are lively stones 1Peter 2:5
"Ye also , as lively stones, are built up a spiritual
house, an holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ."
We are Abrahams children by faith Rom 4:9-16
"....but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham;
who is the father of us all,"
If Israel will not praise the Rock, who they are begotten from, the stones will cry out. Luke 19:40
"I tell you that, if these would hold their peace, the stones would immediatly cry out."
The Gentiles are the Stones crying out 1 Peter 2:5=2 Cor 3:2,3=Gal 4:6
"Ye are as lively stones...ye are manifestly declared
to be the epistle of Christ...written...with the Spirit of the living God...God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into
your hearts, crying, Abba Father."
The Jewish nation missed the coming of the Rock Luke 19:41-44
And when he was come near, he beheld the city,
and wept over it Saying "If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace!
But now they are hid from thine eyes...thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."
