"To whom has the Arm of the Lord been reveiled?"

The Lord, strong and mighty

BIBLE STUDY: IN YELLOW        CROSSREFERENCE:IN ORANGE

Isaiah 52:6,10,13-15

Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

     Hebrews 1:2> (God) Hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

John 12:32> And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.

Revelation 1:7> Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen'.

Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled very high.

Hebrews 1:6> ...And let all the angels of God worship him.

Hebrews 2:8> Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet...

As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more that the sons of men:

John 19:1-3> Then Pilate therefore took him and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, and said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

So he shall sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

Isaiah 63:3> ...and their blood shall be sprinkled on my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

Revelation 19:15> And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:

Isaiah 48:6> Thou hast heard, see all this; and will ye not declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them. They are created now and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Isaiah 53:1-12 >Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of the dry ground: he hath no form or comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and aquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was dispised, and we esteemed him not.

Psalms 22:6> But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and dispised of the people.

Revalation 6:16> ...and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of th lamb.

Hebrews 4:15> For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

John 1:10> He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.

Mattthew 8:17> That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sickness."

2 Corinthians 5:21> For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Mark 15:15,17,19,20> Pilate...delivered Jesus when he had scourged him, to be crucified. And they...platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him,...and led him out to be crucified.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before the shearer is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Matthew 27:12> And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

He was taken from prison and from judgement: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people he was stricken.

Ephesians 4:9,10> Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

Daniel 9:26> And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself...

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he hath done no violence, neither was any deciet in his mouth.

Matthew 27:59,60> And when Joseph had taken the body, he wraped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it  in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out of the rock:

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul and offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

John1:36> And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

2 Corinthians 5:21> For he hath made him to be sin for us...

Hebrews 9:15> And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testemant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgresions that were under the first testament, they which are called might recieve the promise of eternal inheritance.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

1 John 2:1> ...we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

Romans 5:18> Therefore, as by the offence of one judgement came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift  came upon all men unto justification of life.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Psalms 2:8> ...I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thine posession

Revelation 5:9,10> ...Thou art wothy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people and nation; And hast made us unto out God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Isaiah 50:6> I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Mark 15:27> And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

Luke 23:34> Then said Jesus, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

Man, This is pretty cool, We have read this account in Isaiah and it seems pretty clear from just these few crossreferences that the "Arm of the Lord" is none other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

So if the "Arm of the Lord" is Jesus, and we know that he is the one sitting on the throne of heaven *(Revelation 1:8 = Rev 4:2,8,9)*, then what does the phrase "sitting of the right hand of God" (Mark 14:62) really mean? Or the phrase "standing of the right hand of God" (Acts 7:55,56) mean?

That of corse is another study!
